Ravintsara (5ml)

The essential oil extracted from trees growing in Madagascar is known as ravintsara and has a spicy, warm fragrance that is gentler than that of the yet similar eucalyptus oil.

The chemotype of C.camphora is usually very rich in 1.8 cineole and is steam distilled from the branches and leaves. The main constituents are cineole, alpha-pinene and alpha-terpinene.

Ravintsara is a large evergreen tree that grows up to 20-30 metres high and is known as the camphor tree. C.camphora originated in Asia and is cultivated in many countries as an ornamental tree for gardens and parks.
