Caraway essential oil is steam distilled from the tender caraway seeds grown in Finland, the world's largest exporter of caraway.

Historically, caraway is one of the oldest cultivated spices-so old that experts cannot agree on its true origin. Caraway has been found in foods dating back to 3000 BC.
